Whoopi Goldberg slams criticism over big suit claims in her latest film

In a clip of “The View” that was shared by the show Twitter account, Goldberg explains two minutes into the video regarding “Till,” “I have to say something because there was a young lady writing for one of the magazines, and she got distracted by my big suit in his review. Now, I’m just going to say this, I don’t care how you felt about the movie. But you should know it wasn’t a big suit… It was me.

Although Goldberg did not identify the person who wrote the review, Entertainment Weekly reports that the comment came from a review for The Daily Beast and that the reference to Goldberg’s supposed big suit was removed. Meanwhile, Goldberg said she doesn’t believe the reviewer intended to be “demeaning,” as the Twitter clip shows.

Goldberg and her “The View” co-hosts went on to discuss how Goldberg’s appearance had changed due to the effects of the steroids she was taking at the time. She noted that steroids were linked to Goldberg’s treatment for sciatica. Her sciatica diagnosis also led her to use a walker because she revealed on “The View” in June.
