The Walking Dead Series Finale Featured the Return of a Major Star You May Have Missed

The Walking Dead released its final walker with an epic season finale that had its fair share of deaths…and a surprising return you might have missed.

To The walking deadAt the season finale premiere at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles, Chandler surprised fans by arriving on stage to join the rest of the cast. Speaking as part of the aftershow live taping, The talking dead, Chandler confirmed he was hiding in the background of one of the scenes.

“Actually, I was yes,” confirmed the 23-year-old. “I wanted to come over there and be there for the last day of filming. I think it was Denise [Huth, executive producer]she grabbed me and said ‘gonna be in the background of the shot’. »

“So in one of the shots, I’m in the background all the time,” he laughed. For those interested, Chandler appears in one of Hilltop’s final scenes, working as a farmer while Maggie discusses the future with Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus), wearing a cowboy hat and a brown shirt.

Showrunner Angela Kang also discussed the flashing cameo and you’ll miss it with Weekly entertainmentexplaining it was his idea, with director Greg Nicotero approaching the star, who originally joined the cast when he was just 11 years old.

“I had such a great time with him on set, and it was really nice to see him,” she said. “And then they were shooting these scenes and needed a few extras, and Greg was like, ‘Well, you wanna go? Get in there! Go to the back.’ »
