The Great British Bake Off never gets old, does it? That’s why we love the brand new series, which is well launched on Channel 4.

Prue Leith

Prue Leith has enjoyed great success in her career as a restaurateur, chef, writer and journalist. In the 1960s and 1970s, Prue ran her own catering business and later established Leith’s Food and Wine, which trains professional cooks and amateur chefs.

She has also worked for various publications such as The Guardian as a food writer and has appeared on TV shows such as The Great British Menu and My kitchen rulesbefore securing a place on Pastry shop.

Prue Leith early in her career

Paul Hollywood

Before becoming Pastry shopa hard-to-impress judge, Paul worked as a head baker at a number of high-end hotels, including The Dorchester.

He then started working on TV shows such as The game of generations, this morning and The Alan Titchmarsh Show before being a permanent judge on The Great British Bake Off when it first aired in 2010 on the BBC.

Paul posted this throwback photo to his Instagram in November last year, writing at the time: “Here’s one from the late 80s, it’s also the theme for Bake Off tonight, THE 80s …! »

Christmas Fielding

Christmas Fielding is known and adored for providing contestants with the comfort of the tent as well as witty one-liners, but as well as appearing on the Channel 4 show, he is appreciated for his comedy work.

The actor and comedian appeared in The computer crowd and his own exhibition of sketches, The Mighty Boosh. He has also made several appearances on shows like Never mind the Buzzcocks and The big quiz of the year.

Noel Fielding has been successful as a comedian for several years

Matt Lucas

Matt Lucas took over Sandi Toksvig as Noel Fielding’s presenting partner for the 2020 series. The actor and comedian is perhaps best known for his writing and acting work alongside David Walliams on British sitcoms. little britain and come fly with me. He also appeared in Doctor Who and the movieBridesmaids.

Sandi Toksvig

Sandi Toksvig may have left the show, but she’s still a part of the Pastry shop family anyway! The presenter, writer and comedian began her career at the prestigious Footlights, known for alumni like Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry, then began working on the comedy circuit.

Sandi has had great success as a writer, host and comedian

Since then, she has become famous for her radio shows and television presentations of The news quiz on Radio 4 and quiz show IQ.
