After “Haute Tension” and “Contour”, on which Rob & Jack Lahana had already invited memorable guests, the producer duo unveils the third extract from their first album, “Toupies”, for which they receive Catastrophe.
The producer duo, made up of Rob, Robin Coudert of his real name, scenic keyboardist for Phoenix then composer of original soundtracks (Beautiful thorn by Rebecca Zlotowski or The Office of Legends by Éric Rochant), and Jack Lahana, producer between Paris and South America, has just unveiled the single spinning tops.
Written by the group Catastrophe, which we see spinning in the clip as if on a human-sized turntable lit with graphic neon, spinning tops is the third single from Rob & Jack Lahana’s debut album, summer campscheduled for February 2023.
The clip, directed by actor and director Benoît Forgeard, features members of the Catastrophe group, whose silhouettes are reproduced in acrobatic postures, as in GIFs. “My compass has gone crazy, it points south and alcohol”, sings Blandine Rinkel in this decor that looks like an optical effect.
First common project
summer camp is the first joint project of the two longtime friends. It is presented as a collection, a series of intimate and solar moments, which the duo proposes to share with guests, one per piece.
This promise is not half made: the two French know how to surround themselves, since on the first extract of the album, High tension, was heard the voice of Gordon Tracks, aka Thomas Mars, in a music video directed by no less than Natalie Portman. On Outlinethe second extract from the album, they invited the singer of the Mexican group Zoé, León Larregui, for a sunny single.
The Scrapbook summer camp is scheduled for February 2023.
