Arrested last January after being accused of rape and assault by a woman, Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood was imprisoned again on Saturday, suspected of not having respected the conditions of his judicial review.
“Greater Manchester Police are aware of charges relating to a 21-year-old who allegedly breached the terms of his judicial review and an arrest has been made on October 15”said a police spokesman on Saturday, who cannot name the defendant for legal reasons.
Under judicial control since February
At the end of January, Greenwood, one of the greatest hopes of English football, was arrested after the publication on social networks of images and videos showing a young woman with a bloody face and bruises on her body, with the mention “to anyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood is really doing to me”. Placed in police custody on charges of rape and assault, he was released under judicial supervision in early February.
