Los Bitchos blasts the Christmas song with the music video for “Los Chrismos”

The four girls from Australia, Uruguay, Sweden and England seem to have, despite different origins, a common vision of what the end of year celebrations should look like. They offer us the title “Los Chrismos”, a glimpse of their vintage Christmas, nostalgic for the 1980s, which resembles them: fresh, jubilant and a little crazy.

The month of December is launched and with it, the festivities linked to the end-of-year celebrations that we dread as much as we appreciate. Fortunately, we can count on Los Bitchos to immerse us in the atmosphere with a single with an evocative title, Los Chrismos, and a clip that they unveil this Thursday, December 1st. It’s Christmas, but with a variation of which the four musicians have the secret.

“Christmas Time, Sexy Time!”

The sound of the single fits perfectly in line with the titles of the album Let The Festivities Begin! : fresh, energizing between surf pop, cumbia and – all the same – a few bells to remind the context. The video that accompanies the track, directed by Tom Mitchell, already at the helm of the group’s previous clips, promises a nostalgic dive into the 1980s. hand, before performing an aerobics session on a virtual TV set, interrupting their signature instrumental only to chant an essential “Christmas time, sexy time!”.

In a press release, the group explains about this clip: “A nostalgic Christmas fantasy land of the 1980s. Hit the slopes to a cozy chalet dotted with fairy lights, join us for a glass of champagne and a warm Christmas party full of festivities! We can’t wait to dress up and play this song on our Christmas tour.

We find the title on the Christmas 45 rpm which accompanies the reissue of their album Let The Festivities Begin! produced by Alex Kapranos (just that!), who has followed them since their debut. If the holidays are up to this kickoff, they promise to be joyful.

Los Bitchos will be opening for King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard on March 2, 2023 at the Zénith de Paris.
