For its fifth edition, which will take place in Paris from January 20 to 22, 2023, the festival will also welcome aya, Loraine James and Das Kinn.
Launched by Étienne Blanchot, resident music programmer and former artistic director of the Villette Sonique festival, the Closer Music festival returns on January 20, 21 and 22, 2023 to take over the singular place that is the Lafayette Anticipations building. Designed as a polymorphic and modular space, this former industrial building rehabilitated by the architect Rem Koolhaas will once again play its role as a laboratory for musical experimentation.
Lazzia Gio and Loraine James on the menu
In an edition designed around an expression of intimacy and vulnerability, the festival will give pride of place to solo projects and in particular to the Belgian rapper Lazza Gio, the British producer and musician Loraine James, the representatives of the new Manchester scene, aya and Iceboy Violet, or even Das Kinn. It will also be an opportunity to discover the French duo Alto Fuero, as well as Voice Actor, a unique radio project.
By way of closing, Closer Music will invest the Church of the Holy Spirit for an event outside the walls, with a concert by Charlemagne Palestine, visual artist and musician, co-organized with the Invisible inspirationsa project by Stephen O’Malley and Hampus Lindwall.
