In a crazy match, Biarritz wins with the offensive bonus against Colomiers

The spectators of Aguiléra certainly did not ask for so much. But the Biarrots and the Columérins offered an offensive spectacle and a farandole of tries (11 in total) to the supporters who came in large numbers. Add to that a red card for Colomiers and a 48-31 final victory for the locals who are back in the race for the final stages and you will have the ingredients for a great evening on Basque soil.

At the end of the 8th day of ProD2, Biarritz had to win against a direct competitor in the race for the final stages so as not to lose precious points. And from the start, the Biarrots like the Columérins stood out to bring the score to 7-10 after 20 minutes. Baptiste Fariscot in the 26th minute then Josh Tyrell and Kerman Aurrekoetxea allowed Biarritz to take off on the scoreboard (26-10 at the half hour mark).

A game-changing red card

It was then that the referee showed the red card against the center of Colomiers Grégoire Maurino, guilty of an elbow charge on the head of the opposing scrum-half. Reduced to 14, Colomiers never denied his game intentions and scored three tries in numerical inferiority (by Ready, Delas and Peysson).

But the hole was made and Biarritz would increase the score in the second period and take shelter for good. Biarritz is now 4th in ProD2 while Colomiers has fallen to 7th position after eight matches.
