Igor Tudor, OM coach: “Hard to lose at home against the last”

Igor Tudor, OM coach, after the defeat against AC Ajaccio (1-2): “I find it difficult to explain this defeat. In fact, we only played 15 minutes. After the goal, we changed our behavior, and even more after the equaliser. I had said that it was important not to underestimate the adversary. I had the impression that we didn’t really want to win, even among the substitutes. Now you have to tell yourself that it’s only one game and you have to move on. »

“We didn’t imagine remaining undefeated all season but it’s sure hard to lose at home against the last one. You have to raise your head and move on. Ajaccio deserved their victory and we didn’t play well. But even when you play badly, you have to have the will and the energy. There I have the impression that even by playing 200 minutes, we would not have won. Blanco simply played (in place of Pau Lopez in goal) because it was important to have him play in a busy series. »

Samuel Gigot, defender of OM, at the microphone of Amazon Prime Video: “It was a complicated game. I think we started the match well, scoring early enough. We should have continued to attack, tried to score that second goal… Afterwards, we were up against a very good team from Ajaccio who did what she could, it’s true that it’s very infuriating to lose like that. We must not look for excuses, even today technically we missed a lot of fairly simple gestures, in the last 30 meters, simple passes… We were not at the level. We have to get back to work quickly, keep working hard and be ready on Wednesday because we still have a big game (against Sporting Portugal in C1) and sunday too (against Paris SG in L1). »
