Here is the Inrocks Super Club program for January 11, 2023

The Inrocks Super Club start the year with a bang and invite you to La Boule Noire on Wednesday January 11, 2023 with Bingo Club, Ethel and Paul Prier.

BingoClub

Born from an initiatory trip to the United States, Bingo Club thinks of its pieces as sound postcards and as many musical journeys filmed in Super 8. With a soft rock with accents of Velvet, the variable geometry formation led by Martin Rousselot materializes the spaces traversed with languor and melancholy. After a five-track EP which took up the young Frenchman’s desires for elsewhere as a motif, Bingo Club is preparing to release its album Better Lucky Than Beautiful February 24.

Ethel

Noticed by French producer Banshee The Great in 2020 for her covers posted on Instagram, Ethel is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter. After Andromedaan R&B and soul track, she unveils the eponymous single from her first EP, Upside Down. His inspirations range from Frank Ocean to Elliott Smith and give his music a hybrid and intimate groove. After her appearance at the Ici Demain Festival in the fall, she will be on the Boule Noire stage.

Paul Pray

Former half of the Parisian duo Toys, Paul Prier was also a touring musician for Christine and the Queens, Paradis or Charlotte Gainsbourg, and provided keyboards for Pablo Padovani, alias Moodoïd, at the last Inrocks Festival. For his solitary escape to R&D (Jacques, PPJ, Miel de Montagne), he unveiled a first track, Hard To Be Myself When I’m With U, on which his voice passed to the vocoder comes to deliver his anxieties. After the synthetic electro of Toys, Paul Prier returns with a more pop sound against a backdrop of synths and guitar.
