Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen TV Series Stars Theo James, Giancarlo Esposito, Kaya Scodelario and More

Guy Ritchie has completed his cast for the upcoming TV series of his 2019 film Gentlemen.

The cast will be led by Theo James (The Time Traveler’s Wife) as Eddie, “the estranged son of an English aristocrat who inherits the family pile – only to find it sits atop Europe’s biggest weed farm.”

Alongside James, Kaya Scodelario (The maze Runner), Giancarlo Esposito (You better call Saul) and Ritchie Lock, Stock and To tear out star Vinnie Jones, as well as Daniel Ings (I hate Suzie), Joely Richardson (Lady Chatterley’s Lover) and Peter Serafinowicz (The tick).

James stars as Eddie, “the estranged son of an English aristocrat who inherits the family pile – only to find it sits atop Europe’s biggest weed farm.”

The series will stream on Netflix and while it’s not a sequel to Ritchie’s film, it’s set in the same world and is somewhat of a continuation after a new set of characters. Gentlemen The film starred Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Michelle Dockery, Colin Farrell, Jeremy Strong, Henry Golding and Hugh Grant. It’s currently unknown if any of the film’s cast could return to reprise their roles.

‘The world of’Gentlemen‘ is a bit about me,” Ritchie said. “I’m thrilled that with Netflix, Miramax and Moonage, we have this opportunity to inhabit it again. We can’t wait to bring fans back into this world, introduce new characters and their stories and I’m thrilled to do so with this extremely talented cast.

Production will begin next week in the UK.
