Former cyclist Mario Cipollini sentenced to three years in prison for domestic violence

Former Italian cyclist Mario Cippolini is once again being talked about. This Monday, he was sentenced to three years in prison by the Lucca court for acts of injury, abuse and harassment of his ex-wife, according to the Italian media, Corriere Della Sierra. He must also compensate the victim up to 85,000 euros.

The prosecutor had requested two and a half years against the 2002 world champion, the judges therefore went beyond the requisitions by inflicting three years in prison on Cipollini.
