Critical
Film by Korean Park Chan-wook which mixes criminal mystery and femme fatale, romance with forbidden love and psychological drama.
It is a film of merit also known as “Departure Decision”.
To highlight the aesthetic treatment, elaborate plans suggestive of narrative significance with good use of interiors and exteriors, highlighting the highest point on the beach.
The story, tangled but compact, evolves with interest dealing with different themes and environments.
You don’t get carried away emotionally for free with the romantic, balanced, non-hobbying connection; and he knows how to configure a complex plot around criminal investigations with different variants and aspects: cultural encounter, euthanasia, age crisis, marital crisis, decision-making… leaving or staying in an uncertain context.
