Dan Biggar will leave Northampton at the end of the season

Dan Biggar, who has been playing at Northampton since 2018, will leave the English club at the end of the season. The opening half of Wales (32 years old, 103 caps) will not be extended with the Saints, partly for financial reasons.

“The salary cap continues to fall (it has gone from 7 to 5 million pounds in two years), there is also a drop in the number of marquee players (players whose salary is not counted in the salary cap) from two to one, which makes certain choices on players of Dan’s caliber increasingly difficult”explained Phil Dowson, the director of rugby for the Saints.
