Corentin Moutet was scared but joined the second round in Florence

Corentin Moutet can breathe. The Frenchman passed near the correctional during the first round in Florence. But it was ultimately he who won and qualified in the second round against the Italian Flavio Cobolli (4-6, 7-5, 6-4).

If there was a class gap on paper between Moutet, 69th at ATP and Cobolli 164th, the match was much more complicated for the Frenchman. After conceding the first set, Corentin Moutet even had to erase two match points at 5-4 in the second set. Finally, he was able to break his opponent at the right time (at 3-3 in the final set) to slip towards qualification.

In the second round, he will face the winner of the match between Chilean Cristian and Kazakh Alexander Bublik, who meet on Tuesday.
