Adam Siao Him Fa third at the end of the short program of the Grand Prix de France

Adam Siao Him Fa is third after the short program of the Grand Prix de France, which took place on Friday in Angers. The French skater, who now trains in Nice with Cédric Tour, only did a double toe-loop – triple toe-loop combination instead of the planned quadruple toe-loop – triple toe-loop. The 8th of the 2022 Worlds obtained the best artistic score and a total of 88 pts.

Third behind the Japanese Sota Yamamoto (92.42 pts) and Kazuki Tomono (89.46 pts), Siao Him Fa can hope for a comeback after the free program, which will take place on Saturday from 5 p.m. A Grand Prix podium would be a first for the 21-year-old skater. The two other Frenchmen, Luc Economides (77.23 pts) and Landry Le May (60.87 pts) rank respectively 6th and 12th provisionally.

In ice dancing, the experienced Italians Charlène Guignard-Marco Fabbri took the lead after the rhythmic dance (83.52 pts), ahead of the Canadians Laurence Fournier-Beaudry – Nikolaj Soerensen (82.38 pts). The French Evgenia Lopareva-Geoffrey Brissaud take a very good 3rd place with 73.17 pts ahead of their compatriots Loicia Demougeot and Théo Le Mercier (70.76 pts). Marie Dupayage and Thomas Nabais are 9th with 63.64 pts.

Among the couples, the Canadians Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps (64.33 pts) are slightly ahead of the French Camille and Pavel Kovalev (63.98 pts). The other French couple, Océane Piégad and Denys Strekalin ranks 7th in this short program (50.13 pts).

The Belgian Loena Hendrickx logically dominated the women’s short program, with 72.75 pts. She is ahead of South Korean Yelim Kim (68.93 pts) and Japanese Mana Kawabe (68.83 pts). Léa Serna is 7th (62.63 pts), Maé-Bérénice Meité 8th (58.84 pts).
